A Wet Nightmare

Inspired by water and steam, this poem is dedicated to all the books, clothes and water sensitive things we lost in the Epic flood of B-Mid....

This poem is dedicated to the "Awesome" Hostel we live in,

"A WET NIGHTMARE"
- The Great Flood Of B-mid.

Water! Water! Everywhere,

But not a drop to drink.
And it's not even a corridor party,

Nor a clog in the sink.

I arrived shocked, one night,

To B-mid corridor,

And found shin deep water rushing fast,

In right under my door,

With haste I awoke, two sleeping beauties,

From Oh Five and Oh Seven,

Who spend the night swabbing water,

Till waaaayyy past eleven,

Alas! T'was, That 'Old Unfaithful',

The Geyser's pipe had broke,

Which resulted in many a B-midder's,

Clothes and Stuff be Soak'd

The Bustle and rush, To Plug the leak,

Was beyond Guard's Empathy,

We made the most of it(The Johnite Way),

And had a steam bath for FREE!!!

A Very Scintillatious weekend!!!

Okey... well last weekend was officially the wildest weekend i can remember till date......(remember being the key word)...

well it started out nicely enuf with going for the Jyoti nivas college fest "Scintillation" on friday.....
Our college was doing decently well in events n was in d lead as of end day 1.....
Abhilash and I went for treasure hunt.... it was one crazy day..... we had over 15 stations n each of them had a task.....
we started at 12 n came back by 530.... it was so crazy..... we went all over koramangala.... will upload some of d clues later.......
However the New Johnite dance teams have a long way to go before they can think of filling the shoes of their predecessor... Swayam......

then came day 2..... n our huge lead was shrinking fast..... and then Gone......
when suddenly a game of pictonary with 1st, 2& 3rd johnite teams gave us a boost we needed
Btw i was in The team that came FIRST....
the strange part is iv never played with my teammates before.... it was nitin, omkar n I.... n surprizingly we rocked with a Humongous Lead......

Sadly due to fashion show and indian dance we lost our lead to St. Joseph's Commerce College....

However the after party was held at Hotel Grand Ashok... It was Kick ass.... However i Think The concept of an Open Bar was too much 4 d average johnite to handle..... lets just say dat the guys were puking black label by the end of the night....

Boredom

well im really bored.....

n its kinda ironic......

i mean im havin class tests once- twice a week...

play practice for RGUHS fest....

Loads of other worries n hassels

n d worst part is.... I"M FEELING SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO JJJJJJJJJJOOOOBLEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dipavali in BOMBay

well i came back home for diwali... obviously....  bangalore has a great climate n people r a lot safer n dont play with fireworks n all.... but im not one of those ppl who r anti noise, anti fireworks...

i like my divali like myself... Bright and loud...

on d first day i didnt do much... just went 2 a certain"garage", then on a scary walk along land-end, followed by a trip to sheldon's house.....

Diwali day itself was fun... we first went to adu's house were we played fire works with his neighbours... followed by a mini party at karan's house(after getting lost thanks to benson, DAMN YOU BENNY) .... we also took a video of sheldon's split personalities... it was interesting..... and i managed to get back home at 2:30am just as my mother was comin back 4m her flight n bluff dat i was at home.... awesome rite???

the nxt day was kinda Blah... but  d day after that was the Faithful Thursday, Where for once Gravity was on MY side... 

After Giving an interview for Bindas TV....wherein...*drum roll please*.... I SPOKE FRIGGIN HINDI.... Benny, Francis, Richie, Aditi n I went to visit Kirk.... we played a lil Picto, argued where we were goin 2 eat, harrassed a 30yr old tortoise n den went 2 hotel sahil..... there we were almost thrown out 3-times thanks to a lil game called truth n dare..... Finally we went to Chroma.... where believe it or not i saw my friends steal from a baby.... not exactly.... but they were tryin 2 grab d controller for d Wii from a kid wit a broken hand.... all the while people were tryin 2 trip or knee buckle one another... unsucessfully...

Just when i thought the day was over n we were leavin chroma to go home when suddenly i hear a soft thud at the side of me, the sound of a pillow falling 3 feet.... i turn over n wat do i see? a kid fallen flat on her bum... wait that isnt any kid, its aditi...lol... 

Apparently, she Allegedly tred to Buckle my Knees From Behind(yes, Girl Attacking a guy from the rear is wierd)... n i lifted my leg as a reflex.... so her short legs got caught n she did a flip... so now she has an embarrasing story to tell about how she "fell" for me....lol....

another Blah day. then the most awesome day.....

well we were plannin a trip to elephanta... but my mom was feelin paranoid so we had to can it... instead we all just met up at my place.... was loads of fun.... u see my sis had a sleep over the previous night so her giggly friends were also there.... Mong my frens were francis, benny, richie, kirk, eve, keegan, trevin, aditi and ansel... we started d usual Truth n dare... n my poor sister's frens dont kno wat hit em....

it started innocently enough wen richie proposed to 1 o em with a ring in a sandwich, followed by keegan becomin a dog, trevin askin em 2 stroke his kitty, n ended wit a bang with aditi(obviously) givin a lap dance to 1 unsuspecting girl who shares her name.....  poor child was scarred for life...

we then watched some Jeff Dunham, went for Gelato day gelatos(strawberry cheesecake was not as it seemed).... n ended d day wit mass like d saints we are..lol.... 

now im packing up... my bombay adventure is over... just tying up some loose ends....

i CANT WAIT TO COME BACK FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!

FAREWELL DINNER 2008- Theme PIRATES

ok... this blog's  almost a week late in the making......

But AnyHoo....

It was one kick ass night.... ill never forget it....

It started only 20mins late.... thats really early by JST(johnite standard time)....

The Decorations were Unique n well designed... A Very Good job By The Artwork Team...(06&08)

I was happy with my MCing... though i did stutter and fumble occasionally... it seems after all iv been thru i havent fully gotten over stage fright.... dunno why im perfectly at home if there's even a single person on with me.... but start sweating bullets if im alone.... 

The dignitaries were all cool(strangely enough Dr. Dominic too) EXCEPT Our Beloved new director... who although we told him to speak for 3 mins went on for 15+ mins n left mid programmee....

the 4 liners were fun, JANYA, SHERWIN, SHARON & SANDYHA did exce

llent jobs....

DR. Kilpadi gave a warm toast form the heart...

Then Started the Cul Events

Our Babies(08) Rocked the stage with some deadly moves in their first ever performance in John's... the guys appear to have the dancin talent our guys lack.... GO BABIES... we expect to see some great improvement.... 

Next we(06) went on with our Mad Ads/MovieSpoof/Skit tribute to 2004....it was a sucess... every1 was almost rollin on the floor laughin.... seems like a little practice makes a big difference....i think we should try it more often....

then for their last time in John's 2004  went on  with a dance, starting with tony n ending with every1(I MEAN EVERY1, Including me) dancing randomly to a Tam song...

Then(after an hour of setting up instruments) music started...Though the sound system was bad...

Shiny melted our hearts with a tam song,

2007(ANASTOMOSIS formerly) Rocked d stage with some awesome rock, including Thanu Jogi's first time as class Drummer n some crazy(good) vocals by Jeffery.. ..

Shiraj got some tears flowing with the song PAL....

WE went on n Did our own, guitar version of Superman.

A Special committe/Baby band of 04 & 06 came on for a final song of Socha Hai! from Rock On!..with Shiraj on Vocals, Rahul on lead & backup Vocals(yes im surprised too), Abin on Bass, Luke on Rhythm and Tarun on Drums... i was supposed to play, but since i hadnt perfected it n tarun was leaving i let him play.....

Then we had an abomination of a disc......

THE BLESSED MANAGEMENT DID NOT WISH TO EXTEND OUR CURFEW ON THE NIGHT OF FAREWELL... 11 O CLOCK WAS OUR DEADLINE... WITH THIS IN MIND WE ASKED OUR DIRECTOR TO SPEAK FOR ONLY 3 MINS BUT HE WENT AS LONG AS HE WANTED....

SO IN THE 10 MINS WE HAD 4 A DISC WE WENT WILD.....

our babies know how to have fun... they were the 1st 2 run on d stage....

so my friends i leave you'l with a cheers to our 1st sucessful event... here's hoping Jingle rock has a PROPER DISC....
